School Development Plan

Morden Primary School is a highly inclusive school serving a complex and diverse community, where exceptional pastoral care, strong relationships and ambitious provision enable pupils to thrive. Leaders are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, need or starting point, achieves their personal best. Through a carefully designed curriculum, a strong culture of belonging and extensive support for families, pupils develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and resilience needed to succeed both academically and personally.

Section 1: Quality of Teaching

To raise the attainment of writing.
To continue to raise the attainment of Pupil Premium children.
To review humanities to ensure that the sequencing of the curriculum supports pupils to develop detailed knowledge in a progressive manner.

Section 2: Behaviour & Attitudes

To provide a variety of activities and playground games to encourage positive play at playtime and lunchtimes.
To ensure that the overall student attendance rate is in line or above national by the end of the next academic year (June 2025).

Section 3: Personal Development

To use the outdoor environment for learning across the school.
To ensure children understand what makes a healthy relationship, including those online.

Section 4: Leadership & Management

To support and develop changes in staffing within the workforce.
To introduce the new MIS (Management Information System) BROMCOM to the staff team and parents in phases.
To develop AI learning initiative to support the reduction of teacher workload and improve wellbeing.
Pupil Leadership: To upskill school council leaders to promote active citizenship within both the school community and the wider community

Section 5: Early Years EYFS

To increase the number of children achieving ELG for Communication and Language.
To increase the number of children achieving ELG for Physical Development.
To develop parental engagement with the early years.
To continue to develop the EY working as a unit.
