At Morden Primary School, we regularly capture photographs and videos of pupils for a variety of educational and celebratory purposes, such as classroom displays, newsletters, school events, and online communication. Under UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), images that can identify a child are considered personal data.

This means we are required to:

  • Clearly explain how those images may be used
  • Gain consent from a parent or guardian before using them
  • Protect that data just like any other personal information
