Morden Marvels after school club is open every school day after school until 6pm. Morden Marvels run every weekday, during term time, excluding INSET days and bank holidays.
At Morden Marvels, we aim to provide a safe, secure and relaxed environment, offering a range of activities to reflect the interests of the children in our care.
There will always be a selection of activities and resources available, including board games, make believe, physical play, craft and outdoor time (weather permitting).
We will do our best to find a quiet corner if a child requests it for homework, but unfortunately, we are unable to supervise the homework.
Each child will be offered a freshly prepared meal served at approximately 4.15pm each day. We will have bread and sandwich fillers if there is something they do not like.
We recognise the importance of healthy nutrition for children delivered in a calm, friendly setting and the children are seated at tables to consume food.
All our staff are Morden Primary staff that your children will already know and love. Since Morden Marvels is an extension of our school, our staff already have DBS checks and have completed training in safeguarding, first aid, and food hygiene.

Morden Marvels provision adopts all Morden Primary school’s policies. These can be found on our website.
Admission to Morden Marvels is for Morden Primary School Children only. All enquiries should be emailed to mordenmarvels@morden.merton.sch.uk
We use a waiting list system when the need arises. You will be placed on the waiting list and notified when a place becomes available.
Registration forms must be returned before your child starts at Morden Marvels. Emergency contact details must be kept up to date at all times and it is the responsibility of the parent/carer to notify Mrs Freeman by email of any changes in details as soon as possible.
All existing Morden Marvel families must go through the re-enrolment process during the summer term to secure their places for the new academic year starting in September. Existing Morden Marvel families are given priority before we consider any new admissions for September.
Fees are £15.50 per child per session.
All regular bookings require 2 weeks fees paid in advance. This payment will be uploaded to your Parent Pay account at the beginning of each term. You can choose to pay in full or in instalments, but the entire balance must be settled at least 4 weeks before the term ends. You will not be able to book for the next term if there is an outstanding balance.
Adhoc Fees are £17.00 per child per session and must be paid in full before the session begins.
The club fees will be reviewed annually and confirmed in advance of September.
Please note that we do not refund or credit any odd days that your child does not attend. Fees are payable for all regular, allocated sessions including when your child is sick, residential or on holiday. This is because we still incur the staffing costs, regardless of pupil numbers per session.
When school closes early at 1pm (e.g. parents evening/end of term) the club will run from the end of the day until 5pm. Early closure days are detailed on the school’s website on the term dates page. Parents will be reminded at least 1 week in advance of such occasions.

To change or cancel a session or to terminate your place at Morden Marvels, we require 6 weeks’ notice. If you need to change the days that your child attends, please email Mrs Freeman at mordenmarvels@morden.merton.sch.uk. We will try to accommodate such changes wherever possible but you may be placed on a waiting list if space is not available.
Morden Marvels charges are based on the opening hours of the provision. Morden Primary will continue to offer separately run after school clubs. These are booked and paid for individually and charged in addition to the fees of Morden Marvels. Children will go straight to their school based clubs at the end of the school day and will join Morden Marvels afterward.
All children attending Morden Marvels can join one free sports club run by Multisports4U at school as an introductory offer, subject to availability. This offer is not available for ad-hoc bookings. You need to book the club directly with Multisports4U and inform Mrs. Freeman to avoid being charged.
Children can only be collected by an authorised parent or adult. If someone else needs to pick up your child, you must inform the school office by 4pm that day and ensure they know your collection password. All children must be picked up promptly by 6pm or earlier. If you are late collecting your child more than twice, your place may be revoked.
Morden Marvels promotes an atmosphere of care, consideration and respect for everyone attending and we expect all children to continue to follow our school values.
If a child becomes unwell whilst at Morden Marvels, we will contact the parents/carers and ask them to make arrangements for them to be collected as soon as possible.
Every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of the children at all times. Staff are trained in first aid. In the event of an accident requiring medical attention, the parent/carers will be contacted immediately. In the event that we are unable to contact a parent, and a pupil needs to be taken to hospital, a member of staff will always accompany them and will stay with them until a parent arrives.
